Palm Dance Collective Los Angeles is a collective dance company based in Los Angeles, CA. We strive to create works that let our dancers not just be a dancer but have a space to share their creative voice within the process of creating dance works and seeing their ideas take shape within the pieces we create. We are not limited to one genre of dance either, we incorporate the technical styles of ballet, modern, and contemporary along with whatever else our dancers might have to offer.  PDCLA is not just a collective of dancers- we thrive when collaborating with musicians or other artists to create enthralling performances for the community.

Carisa Carroll, from Santa Barbara, CA began her ballet training with former Alvin Ailey dancer, Delila Moseley. As a trainee with State Street Ballet, she performed in every work in the companies repertoire during the 2012-13 season, including their touring season. She was in the original cast of William Soleau's "American Tango" and in fall 2014, appeared as a guest artist with the company and accompanied them on their national tour . In January 2015 she was invited by Christopher Pilafian to perform with Santa Barbara Dance Theater. Carisa has performed in 2 films by Robin Bisio Films as well as a site specific performance on the beach by Bisio summer/fall of 2015. Her choreographic work has been performed at Santa Barbara City College Dance Collective 2015 and 2016, Nebula HH11 Dance Festival 2016/2017, and Voices of LA by Brockus Project Studios December 2016. She designed and created the costumes for her work in both HH11 and Collective. Summer of 2016 she attended ODC of San Francisco summer intensive. September 2016 she performed in a music video directed by Jeffery Prosser, choreographed by Mackenzie Ellis. CARLON + LOLLIE is a collaborative duo formed by movement artists Jay Carlon and Lindsey Lollie. They employ their identities as multicultural millennials to deepen their connection to heritage and ancestry—Lollie is half African-American and first-generation Mexican-American; Carlon is first-generation Filipino-American and child of an agricultural migrant family. Through immersive, transformative and extremely physical dance theatre, they strive to incite thoughtful provocation of socio-political issues surrounding identity, race, gender, mental health and sexuality. Based in Los Angeles, they met as colleagues at the Renaissance Arts Academy, where they currently teach contemporary dance, and have joined their shared interests in exploring their collective and individual identities.  CARLON + LOLLIE has presented work at LA Dance Festival, Automata, Los Angeles Performance Practice, HomeLA, Works in the Works (Bay Area, CA), and Electric Lodge.  Collectively, Jay and Lindsey have performed at Lincoln Center, The Metropolitan Opera, 2014 Winter Olympics, REDCAT, 92nd Y and The CURRENT SESSIONS.
CARLON + LOLLIE has not performed outside of CA, but we individually, Jay and Lindsey, have performed in Seattle through Velocity Dance Center, the Metropolitan Opera in NYC, the 2014 Winter Olympics, and Utah Dance Film Festival.

It is in CARLON + LOLLIE's mission to activate underutilized and underemployed spaces by generating immersive, transformative, and extremely physical dance theatre in unconventional spaces, hoping to imprint lasting images and encourage inquiry. CARLON + LOLLIE aspire to invite and transport our audience to an alternative theatrical experience, challenging expectations of conventional concert dance performance by allowing viewing the work from multiple angles, granting autonomous spectatorship.
